Jo-Wilfried Tsonga is a French professional tennis player currently ranked World No. 17. He was born in Le Mans, to a French mother, Évelyne, and a Congolese father, Didier Tsonga, who moved to France in the 1970s to play handball. Tsonga is a member of the Tennis Club de Paris (TCP). His career-high singles ranking is World No. 5, which he achieved in February 2012. The 2012 London Olympics was next up for Tsonga. His victory over Milos Raonic in the second round became the longest ever at the Olympics. Fatigue, surprisingly, did not appear to affect Jo-Wilfried in the third round. He eased into the quarterfinals over Feliciano López, but lost to world no. 2 Novak Djokovic.
